Ukraine Performs A Relatively Loose Tobacco Bill

time2012/09/25

It’s reported by American tobacco nets that Victor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine, has signed a new revision of the tobacco control law. The law declares detailedly non-smoking places in this country, and gives a loose control on the consumption of uncommon tobacco products, such as electronic cigarette and hookah.

After revising its tobacco bill, Ukraine also has performed a relatively loose smoke-free policy. The tobacco control law published by the government has set certain smoking areas in some special occasions, such as offices like enterprises and organizations; accomodations like hotels; waiting areas of public places like airports and railway stations, etc.

But it also regulates that the smoking area above shouldn’t be over 10% of the total area, and it must be equipped with ventilation facilities to remove smoke as soon as possible.
